Theory & Stuff

schoolboy poet

I’ve a fair amount of bumpf I’ve written, theory and stuff, gathering dust-pixels on my laptop. Some of it stems from an MPhil I took in writing (by portfolio), the rest was generated by workshops I’ve held some of this resides in the file Journal. I’ve decided to share (like anyone would willingly want to share homework with me) the documents with all-comers. Feel free to download it. If you quote it, reference me. Please don’t cheat yourself by plagiarizing me, write your own goddamn essay! If nothing else, the critical paper shows what can be got away with (I’m not a natural essayist, I had to adapt writing of it to sync with the way my brain works – never do it visa versa, it won’t work, though you do have to compromise somewhere).

Critical Paper, Text, the Material Substance of Poetry: the Common Practice of Artistic Forms: an examination of Kenneth Goldsmith’s ‘Fidget’ . (Don’t be put off, it’s no way as dense as it sounds, if there’s such a thing as black comedy in an academic essay, this is it). Right click and save here or on its title above. You’ll need Adobe Reader 8, get it free.

Journal, wherein I document two years of thought about writing, mine, others’ (kept in parallel with the poetry I was producing at the time). Right click and save here. You’ll need Adobe Reader 8, get it free.

More to follow…
